Gray; the color of the clouds that invade my day and spirit.
Gray; the color
of my hair that falls freely.
Yellow; the color I imagine to lift my
spirits.

Vegetarian
At breakfast this morning, Pooh declared that he "is going to be vegetarian in February. Just fruit and vegetables. No meat. And no wine!"
Everyone at the table looked at each other, but didn't say anything.
Later in the day, Moose asked "since you're only eating vegetables, what veggies do you want in your plate lunches next week?"
Pooh replied, "Meatloaf."

Beautiful
“Am I beautiful?” Melisa implored of her mother.
Her mother, loading the dishwasher, paused for a moment to look at her daughter. “What brought this on?”
“Tommy at school called me ugly, but I don’t think I’m ugly.”
“Of course not, dear. You’re lovely in your own special way,” replied her mother while reaching for another dish.
“But am I beautiful?” queried Melisa again; eyes wide in eager anticipation.
“Yes, honey, you’re beautiful.”
Melisa, satisfied with the answer, rolled her wheelchair back to the living room to watch TV.
